Root Source Briefing: What is going on in Israel, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank
On Sunday, May 23, I gave a background briefing, including a current events update, a boots-on-the-ground analysis, and predictions to that famous Israeli question “mah yihiyeh?” (what’s going to be??)
Israel's Ambassador to the UN Explains Israel's Right and Duty to Defend Its Citizens
As a member of the Israeli Likud party, I am blessed to be the personal friend of numerous leaders and heroes. My old friend Gilad Erdan, who I knew since he was first elected to the Knesset in 2003, was recently appointed to be Israel’s representative to the United Nations, in parallel to being
our Ambassador to the United States.

To all my concerned friends and family,
Online Israel Rally: “How can I help Israel today?”
Gidon was a featured speaker on Israel365's online rally “How can I help Israel today?” on Sunday, May 23. You can watch his five minute talk starting at 25:20 to 31:40
Hamas played the world like a fiddle
The latest Israel-Gaza war started with Hamas launching hundreds of rockets into Israeli cities. For the few people who might have lived in a cave in the last few hundred years, let me inform you of something: targeting civilians is a war crime. It was very clear from the start, as Israeli
commentator Haviv Rettig Gur and Palestinian human rights activist Bassem Eid both pointed out, that Hamas’ motivation was cynical political gain. But even if Hamas’ motivation was pure, attacking civilians is a war crime.
Naso: Rabbi Gedalia Meyer's Weekly Torah Study
Our popular Root Source teacher Rabbi Gedalia Meyer has begun giving a short weekly teaching on the Weekly Portion for the Temple Institute.
We are grateful to our friends at the Temple Institute who have allowed us to provide Rabbi Meyer’s teachings here too.
