Meet Harvey Peretz. Harvey is a chef, who due to the pandemic, had to close the restaurant of his dreams that he spent years building.

Harvey turned to Meir Panim’s Or Akiva branch for help and got so much more than a hot meal. With his spare time, Harvey found meaning and good use of his culinary skills by cooking thousands of meals a day and paying it forward as a volunteer in the Or Akiva
kitchen. For Harvey, and thousands of other Israelis who have fallen on hard times, Meir Panim provides a life-saving safety net.
