Hello {{ subscriber.first_name | capitalize() or "friend" }},
In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion NOAH Genesis 6:9-11:32, relates the story of Noah and his descendants. God expresses His disappointment in humankind, but singles out Noah and his family for salvation from the destruction He is planning to send.
We are delighted to share this lesson from our History channel with our great teacher Ken Spiro "In God We Trust 1." If you are not a registered member of Root Source, you can click the link below to sign up for free.
Our popular Root Source teacher Rabbi Gedalia Meyer has begun giving a short weekly teaching on the Weekly Portion for the Temple Institute. We are grateful to our friends at the Temple Institute who have allowed us to provide Rabbi Meyer’s teachings here too.
How Do I Choose? The world is created. The Creator creates the first man. Man clearly recognizes who his Creator is and yet when God comes and clearly commands him,”…you may eat from the fruit of every tree. And do not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and bad, because the day you eat from it you will surely die.” (Bereshit 2.16-17), Adam, the first human, does not follow God’s command. What are we to learn from this human
response?
We sign off with a beautiful photo of Jerusalem in Contrast.
Shalom,
