This Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion BEREISHIT Genesis 1:1-6:8, opens with the story of creation. We are told that God took six days to create the world we know, and on the seventh day He rested.
We are delighted to share this lesson from our Islam channel with our great teacher Avi Lipkin "Early Understanding of the Threats of Islam." If you are not a registered member of Root Source, you can click the link below to sign up for free.
Learning to be Together. Restart. This is the challenge presented to each of us on the day after Shmini Atzeret. We have been afforded the opportunity to invest 51 days, from Rosh Chodesh Elul through Shmini Atzeret, to fix our ways, our speech and our thoughts and thus, be prepared and fitting to be united alone with God.
We sign off with a beautiful photo of the Church Altar.
Shalom,

[In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion BEREISHIT Genesis 1:1-6:8, opens with the story of creation. We are told that God took six days to create the world we know, and on the seventh day He rested. Once man walks the Earth, the story shifts its focus to him. We are told of Adam and Eve’s poor choices in the Garden of Eden, resulting in their expulsion, and the rivalry of their children, Cain and Abel. The generations between Adam
and Noah round out the portion.

As a response to what our “covid experience” has brought into our lives, it seems clear to me that one of the great fixings that we need to make is learning how to be together.
