If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his
head, and the Lord will reward you.” — Proverbs 25:21–22

Hello {{ subscriber.first_name | capitalize() or "friend" }},
This Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Pinchas Numbers 25:10-30:1, picks up where last week’s left off, in the aftermath of a plague.
Join the Nation’s 9th of Av for a free live streaming prayer event on July 29 as we mourn with the Jewish people over the destruction of both Temples. This will be followed up by nine hours of FREE LIVE STREAMING prayer on July 30 as we repent for the many sins and atrocities that our church forefathers have committed against the Jews.
We are delighted to share this lesson from our Proverbially Speaking channel with our great teacher Rabbi Aryeh A. Leifert, "Proverbs Ch 3 verse 29." If you are not a registered member of Root Source, you can click the link below to sign up for free.
Our popular Root Source teacher Rabbi Gedalia Meyer has begun giving a short weekly teaching on the Weekly Portion for the Temple Institute. We are grateful to our friends at the Temple Institute who have allowed us to provide Rabbi Meyer’s teachings here too.
In the last two week we have been showing you videos from Ezra Tubi, an Orthodox Jew that lives in Samaria, who has a knack for revealing the unexpected. This week’s video is Ezri’s newest music video.
Who’s Hitting the Donkey? Thank God we are finally back together. After what felt like forever during this recent stretch of life, Jews all over the world will be reading the same Torah portion this Shabbat, Parshat “Balak.” In chutz la’Aretz you will be adding “Chukat” to “Balak” this week, and we will get to that later.
We sign off with a lovely comment from our Root Source student and a beautiful photo of the Side Street Restaurants.
Shalom,
Gidon Ariel and Bob O’Dell

This Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Pinchas Numbers 25:10-30:1, picks up where last week’s left off, in the aftermath of a plague. Phineas is blessed by God for his actions and a new census of the people is taken. The brotherless daughters of Zelophehad appeal to Moses for a share in the land of Israel and God delineates the laws of inheritance. God shows Moses the Promised Land, which he will never enter, and appoints Joshua as his
successor. The portion ends with a list of the daily and holiday sacrificial services.

Proverbs Ch 3 verse 29 - We are taught not to plot against our friend. Isn't that obvious? Why would we be tempted to plot against our friend?

I was so happy to see 'Proverbially Speaking' as one of the teachings available, I began listening to that today!
Our student Marie enjoyed Root Source and had this to say.

Shalom! Thank you for the free samples I will definitely read them soon. I heard of your ministry through Mark Biltz's El Shaddai Ministries, which I watch online. I've been very interested in our Jewish Roots for a long time - watching/reading Perry Stone, Bill Cloud, Jonathan Cahn and Mark Biltz to name a few. I began using a Word Studies Bible to study the Hebrew in Proverbs a while back. I absolutely love it! I was so
happy to see 'Proverbially Speaking' as one of the teachings available, I began listening to that today! May God bless you in all you do! Shalom!
