This Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Korach Numbers 16:1-18:32, deals primarily with the rebellion of the eponymous Korah and his followers against the authority of Moses and Aaron. A cousin to the leading brothers, Korah protests Moses’s concentration of power in the family, insisting the entire nation is holy. Only God’s intervention succeeds in putting down the insurrection and restoring unity to the camp. The portion ends with a
reiteration of Aaron’s priestly duties in the service of God, as well as specific gifts to be apportioned to the priests and Levites.

It has been a while since we have published a video update by Avi Lipkin. We caught up with him in as he begins a summer speaking tour in the USA. In part 1 we see the letters that helped convince Avi to make Aliyah to Israel and hear his take on what is happening in the USA and Israel.
We are happy to share with you a couple of Facebook links that you might also want to share with those who don’t know the Bible as well as you do, but might be interested in appreciating the strong bond of friendship that exists between the United States and Israel.
Unlocking the gates. Why are the gates locked? What happened that dictated the fact that my brother or sister who lives outside of Eretz Yisrael can no longer come to visit The Land?
