Dear ,
“You shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread” says the Bible, so why do we refer to the holiday as ‘Passover?’ Rabbi Tuly provides a Jewish teaching that explains the difference between the two names and gets to the very heart of what this special festival is all about. Unleavened Bread, or Matzah refers to the Jewish people’s devotion to God when they followed Him without sufficient provisions into the wilderness, whereas ‘Passover’
refers to God’s loving concern for the People of Israel.
We are happy to share with you a shortened version of a prayer written by Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel, and read by an Israeli in Modern Hebrew. Watch it below!

The ancient road from Jerusalem to Jericho is one of the most famous in all the world. At the half-way point stands the ancient site of the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Overlooked by most tourists, Root Source Tours takes you there. In Part 2 we finish looking at the mosiacs, history and views from this site, including the prize discovery from biblical Shilo.
Watch this new video from David Haivri that tells the story of Leah, Rachel and Reuben and the gathering of Mandrakes. It is in this season we are in — the season of Pesach — that the fruit might be edible, according to David.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation Monday evening to announce the tightening of restrictions on movement to stem the exponential growth of coronavirus contagion in Israel. Speaking from quarantine in his own house after one of his staff members tested positive for the virus, Netanyahu said the government was imposing additional restrictions, including a ban on meetings of more than two
people who are not in the same immediate family.
Remembering from a New Place in My Life. Before anything else, I want to share my respect and thanks to all of the fine medical people of the world who have been sacrificing a major part of their lives to save us all from further pain and suffering. May they be blessed to continue to be great and strong messengers of Hashem to heal and comfort us all.
We sign off with a lovely comment from a Root Source student and a beautiful photo of the Sea of Galilee.
Shalom,

Here we go! Heading into the “Holiday of Love.” Time to “clean up my act.” Getting ready for the second successive Shabbat that we are all in our homes. Hashem sends the perfect gift to help deal with the process. Shabbat Hagadol! The greatest of all Shabbatot in the year. They are all great, but this one is the greatest. It is the designated Shabbat, on
which more than any other Shabbat, we receive the “koach” to head into this great Holiday of Pesach and prepare ourselves to receive Hashem’s love which is melting all obstacles between us.
I will be listening to this interview again!
