Dear ,
In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Vayechi Genesis 47:28-50:26, the final portion of the book of Genesis, we read of Jacob’s blessings to his sons and grandsons on his deathbed, and his final passing and burial. The book concludes with Joseph’s final days, as well, and his death and enbalming in Egypt.
Gidon Ariel is coming back to Dallas next week (January 13-20) and will also be in South Florida Wednesday-Friday January 8-10 and in Tulsa OK on Sunday January 12. If you or someone you know is in Dallas, Tulsa, South Florida or nearby, please let us know by responding to this email.
Rabbi Yehudah Glick is Teaching in Texas!
Gidon visited Palm Beach Gardens in South Florida on his recent October 2019 USA trip. He was the guest of William and Sandra Callahan, and spoke to a group of some thirty Christians who love Israel. Including some edgy concepts! Gidon really pushes the envelope with this one!
Root Source Tours is back!! We begin a new series of Root Source Tours excursions, by heading east from Jerusalem into the desert. Get behind the wheel (yes, literally) as you drive down the steep grade from above sea level, to below sea level in just five minutes of high speed travel.
The “status quo” is the political term used for the enforcement of rules on the Temple Mount about what activities are and are not allowed. We are rebroadcasting this interview on our newsletter, because it is far and away the best talk I, (Bob), have ever heard on the subject. It more than doubled everything I knew, and the entire interview was interesting.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke to Fox News about the attack in Monsey: “It’s important to put into context. We’ve seen increased anti-Semitism in the world, we’ve all observed Christians under threat in the Middle East and other parts of the world as well.
Bridging the Light. With each holiday we are blessed to receive a boost of “shefa,” Godly influence, which helps us intensify our connection to that period of time in the year. Prior to Rosh Hashannah we get the power to do “teshuvah,” return to Hashem, Sukkot brings us the vehicle to celebrate and be “bsimchah,” joyful, while Pesach opens the gates for us to experience true freedom.
We sign off with a beautiful photo of En Gedi.
Shalom,
Gidon Ariel and Bob O’Dell

Understanding the
Temple Mount – Status Quo
The “status quo” is the political term used for the enforcement of rules on the Temple Mount about what activities are and are not allowed.
We are rebroadcasting this interview on our newsletter, because it is far and away the best talk I, (Bob), have ever heard on the subject. It more than doubled everything I knew, and the entire interview was interesting.
Yisrael Medad clearly shows that he can talk at any level on the topic, and that while he does have a bias, he is not unable to objectively explain multiple points of view that are held. Doron Kedar makes the whole interview work because he knows a lot himself, and can ask all the right questions. (1h 12m)
News & Prayer: Pompeo Addresses the Persecution Against Jews and Christians
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke to Fox News about the attack in Monsey: : “It’s important to put into context. We’ve seen increased anti-Semitism in the world, we’ve all observed Christians under threat in the Middle East and other parts of the world as well.
“President Trump has made a true pillar of American foreign policy religious freedom, the right of each of us to practice our faith in the way that we desire to do so, and we work hard at this.

With each holiday we are blessed to receive a boost of “shefa,” Godly influence, which helps us intensify our connection to that period of time in the year. Prior to Rosh Hashannah we get the power to do “teshuvah,” return to Hashem, Sukkot brings

These powers are not simply relegated to those specific times of year, but rather are the spiritual boosts to help us carry those traits into our lives for the entire year. Similarly, on Chanukah God sends us “Light.” This light offers us the
clarity to see what is truly going on in our worlds, individually and collectively. It is our responsibility to see the light, bring it into our homes, harness that light, vision and clarity to carry on through the year.
