Dear ,
This Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Nitzavim Deuteronomy 29:9-30:20, is one of the shortest in the Torah, with a mere 40 verses (next week’s Vayelech has only 30). Even when the two are combined, which happens most years, they number fewer verses than most other single portions. The verses themselves, however, are longer than those in most other portions.
The LIST is a compilation of more than 800 atrocities committed by Christians, Christian nations, or in the name of Christ, against the Jews over the past two millennia. Never before has this amount of research been compiled into a single volume by Christians, for Christians.
The Countdown to Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement began last August 31! Day of Atonement falls on October 9th! Begin YOUR 40 day Repentance journey to leading up to Yom Kippur! Order the 40 Days of Repentance: Companion Guide today!
Gidon Ariel speaks about the Hebron Massacre of 1929 and the recent commemorations.
In concluding part 4, Bob O’Dell of Root Source asks Al McCarn of BYNA how he reacts to concerns from Messianic Jews to Two House theology. Then Bob asks what is the size of this movement, and what are the future plans of his organization.
The complex Israeli post-election process means that when polling stations close, there could still be uncertainty over who the next prime minister will be.
How do I Forgive? We are speedily approaching the set time period during which the Torah, both in text and “halachah,”( Jewish law) require us to ask forgiveness for behavior of the past year. The Torah writes in reference to Yom Hakipurim, “ki bayom hazeh, y’chaper aleaichem l’taher etchem, mikol chatotechem, lifnei Hashem titharu,” because on this day, He will pardon you, to spiritually purify you from all of your sins, (when) you come
in front of Hashem you will be purified (Vayikra 16.30).
We sign off with a beautiful photo of a Desert.
Shalom,
Gidon Ariel and Bob O’Dell

The portion is part of Moses’s final speech to the Children of Israel, delivered on the last day of his life. He uses this opportunity to at once warn the people that their actions have consequences, meaning they will be severely punished if they transgress God’s laws, and to reassure them that God will welcome them back if they repent. He impresses upon them their responsibility for one another.

News & Prayer: Israelis Voted But Will Wait Weeks for Their New Prime Minister
The complex Israeli post-election process means that when polling stations close, there could still be uncertainty over who the next prime minister will be.
Israelis go the polls on Tuesday to elect a new parliament with the hope that either Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or challenger MK Benny Gantz can form a new governing majority in the weeks to come.
In an unprecedented development, Israel is holding a second Knesset election within a matter of months, after Netanyahu failed to cobble together a majority following the April 9 ballot.
The Netanyahu-led Likud party, and Blue and White, headed by Gantz, finished tied with 35 seats each in the April ballot.
This week’s music: Calling Out to You
We are speedily approaching the set time period during which the Torah, both in text and “halachah,”( Jewish law) require us to ask forgiveness for behavior of the past year. The Torah writes in reference to Yom Hakipurim, “ki bayom hazeh, y’chaper aleaichem l’taher etchem, mikol chatotechem, lifnei Hashem titharu,” because on this day, He will pardon you, to spiritually purify you from all of your sins, (when) you come in front of Hashem you will be purified
(Vayikra 16.30). Many of our great teachers and masters assign this to mean that when we enter into this day, we will all be pardoned for our sins between ourselves and God.
