Dear ,
This week, the weekly Torah portion SHELACH Numbers 13:1-15:41, focuses primarily on the Sin of the Spies, which results in God’s decree that the Israelites must wander in the desert for forty years instead of entering the land of Israel directly. It also includes details regarding a number of laws, such as the libations which must be brought alongside certain sacrifices and the separation of a portion of all bread baked for the sustenance of
the priests. We are told what must be done to atone for sins and, through the example of the wood-gatherer, what to do with those who violate the Sabbath. The portion ends with the command to tie fringes, or tzitzit, onto the corners of any four-cornered garment.
There are many places in the Torah whose lessons are connected to the Kabbalistic concept of “picking up the sparks.” Sparks of souls lost along the way, left behind and separated from Klal Yisrael. Reb Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev cites two of those references in this week’s Torah portion of “Beha’alotcho.”
Root Source Interviews Dean Bye, of the Aliyah Return Center. In concluding part 3, he talks about an unusual project they have started to help African nations bless Israel through song. He also explains how you can get involved with their various volunteer opportunities.

In this first interview segment, Bob O’Dell interviews Abe Truitt. Orthodox Jew Abe Truitt is only 27 years old, but that hasn’t stopped him from stepping into a management role for Tourism at the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Bob O’Dell opens up an interesting interview with Abe to learn more about this man with a rather surprising heritage.

In the first instance, Bamidbar 8.2, Hashem tells Moshe, “Speak to Aharon ( Hakohen) and tell him, “when you raise up the lights, facing the face of the Menorah ( i.e.The Schechinah), the seven candles will send out their light.” The Kohen has the role as the one who needs to raise up the lights through his character. He as a leader and example for all of the nation, is the one through whom lost sparks can be picked up and brought back to their rightful place in
front of Hashem.

Jubilee Now FINAL EDITION!
|
In the summer of 2016, Bob O’Dell and Gidon Ariel published Jubilee NOW, to explore and delve deeply into the concept of the Jubilee, the Yovel, and try to understand what God means for us to know and do. This was especially important as, in contrast to Shemitah and Blood Moons, there are barely any books written for Christians about the Jubilee. God had left this field wide open so to speak, and in Jubilee NOW!, O’Dell and Ariel introduced this critical topic
to the world very seriously.
So much has changed since then, that we have published a FINAL EDITION of this book, with close to a hundred pages of new content, bringing this exciting topic up to date!
If you bought the first edition of Jubilee NOW, you will be fascinated to read this new edition.
And if you missed out on all the excitement, you will be FASCINATED by the research that is presented in Jubilee Now FINAL EDITION!
