Dear ,
This week, the weekly Torah reading BAMIDBAR is the first in the book of Numbers, and opens it with a census. It has been a year since the people left Egypt, and the Tabernacle is entering its operational stage. The camp needs to be arranged around it.
Root Source interviews Devra Ariel, the wife of Gidon Ariel. In part 5, Devra tells Bob about what “The Window of the Ark” has to do with this story, and Psalm 92. and how they are all changed forever.

Studio See 51. One word divides Christians and Jews. No, it is not the word you are thinking about. It is not the word salvation, or more specifically Yeshua/Jesus. There is virtually no disagreement that such a person named Yeshua walked the earth. There is no dispute that He died in Jerusalem. The disagreement is in the significance of those events.
Last year we put out a six-part interview with Lesley Richardson about her book Bible Gems from Jerusalem. As Shavuot nears again in 2019, we replay one of those segments that specifically dealt with Moses, God and Mount Sinai. The discussion centers around Moses as intercessor and the importance of mercy as a prime attribute of God and in leadership.
Research led by scholars at Hebrew University, the Israel Antiquities Authority, Tel Aviv University and Bar-Ilan University, revealed a unique way to isolate yeast from ancient pottery, from which high-quality beers were then produced. Dr. Ronen Hazan from Hebrew University and Dr. Yitzhak Paz from the Israel Antiquities Authority, who are among the leaders of the research, noted that “we now know what Philistine and Egyptian beers tasted
like.”
We sign off with a beautiful photo of a Church Ceiling.
Shalom,
Gidon Ariel and Bob O’Dell

In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Bamidbar Numbers 1:1 – 4:20, is the first in the book of Numbers, and opens it with a census. It has been a year since the people left Egypt, and the Tabernacle is entering its operational stage. The camp needs to be arranged around it.
God orders a census of the people be taken, and commands that they encamp in a specific arrangement. The Levites are appointed to a special role within the Israelite camp, and are likewise counted separately. The portion ends with the first of the Levite families, Kehat, being given their responsibilities towards the Tabernacle.

Jubilee Now FINAL EDITION!
|
In the summer of 2016, Bob O’Dell and Gidon Ariel published Jubilee NOW, to explore and delve deeply into the concept of the Jubilee, the Yovel, and try to understand what God means for us to know and do. This was especially important as, in contrast to Shemitah and Blood Moons, there are barely any books written for Christians about the Jubilee. God had left this field wide open so to speak, and in Jubilee NOW!, O’Dell and Ariel introduced this critical topic
to the world very seriously.
So much has changed since then, that we have published a FINAL EDITION of this book, with close to a hundred pages of new content, bringing this exciting topic up to date!
If you bought the first edition of Jubilee NOW, you will be fascinated to read this new edition.
And if you missed out on all the excitement, you will be FASCINATED by the research that is presented in Jubilee Now FINAL EDITION!

The One Word that Divides
|
One word divides Christians and Jews.
No, it is not the word you are thinking about. It is not the word salvation, or more specifically Yeshua/Jesus. There is virtually no disagreement that such a person named Yeshua walked the earth. There is no dispute that He died in Jerusalem. The disagreement is in the significance of those events.
In my many discussions with Gidon, I remember exactly where we were walking, as we were leaving the Old City and crossing the Hinnom Valley, when he and I both stumbled on a very important Hebrew word that seems to carry within it that great controversy that divides Christians and Jews.
