What Is Passover? The eight-day festival of Passover is celebrated in the early spring, from the 15th through the 22nd of the Hebrew month of Nissan, April 19 – April 27, 2019. Passover (Pesach) commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. Pesach is observed by avoiding leaven, and highlighted by the Seder meals that include four cups of wine, eating matzah and bitter herbs, and retelling the story of
the Exodus.
In the summer of 2016, Bob O’Dell and Gidon Ariel published Jubilee NOW. I had always thought about this verse with respect to my own father and mother. But, as I worked with Gidon I began to see the Jewish people have a much larger view on this verse than I knew. Here are a few quotes that I began to pick up from Gidon and his friends:
“The sages tell us…”
Excuse me, but who else even uses that word anyway? But there it was being used over and over regarding the collective set of rabbis and teachers and elders and those that have said things that have stood the test of time.

Again, thank you. And to think that the model of these beloved Jewish men was probably very close to the shape or form in Biblical times, whether the Wilderness and HaShem within the Tabernacle, or when physically
