faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:5

Dear ,
This week, the weekly Torah reading Miketz, Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dreams, becomes viceroy over Egypt, and implements his plan to save the region from famine. Joseph is harsh with his brothers who come to Egypt to buy food, and demands that Benjamin be brought to Egypt. When Benjamin eventually comes he is framed and accused of theft.
Root Source Interviews: In concluding Part 4 Christine Darg answers Bob’s questions about prophecy and the end-times including her view on the most controversial subjects including Third Temple, the Jewish Sanhedrin, the Jews as a Light to the Nations, and the Ten Men who grab onto the hem of a Jew.
Studio See 028. One of my favorite places in the world is a place I have never visited. That sentence above was penned right here, within the boundaries of that greatest of all cities — Jerusalem — the city of Yeru (God will make manifest), and shaloyim — the incomprehensible, manifold dimensions of peace that have, are and will ever be brought forth here. Jerusalem is not only a place on earth that God said he would dwell, but a
place above this earth in heaven in which He dwells. Yes, of all places in the world, despite its narrow streets and traffic, despite the words spoken here that are anything but peaceful — try riding in a few taxi cabs –, despite great spiritual battles waged here in the unseen world, Jerusalem is my favorite place in the world.
Root Source hosted it first Leadership Breakfast in Dallas, Texas on 12 November 2018. In part 1, Gidon introduces the event and asks friend Ann Stacy to say a few words about their recently departed mutual friend Jodie Anderson. (6:02)
Last night, Sunday night, December 2 2018, Jews and their friends all over the world lit the first Hanukkah candle, towards eight days and nights celebrating this well known happy holiday. Here is a video produced by a popular Jewish acapella group called Six13, parodying a popular song from the 1970’s. It was released last Thursday and is already close to a million views on YouTube! Maybe not the most reverent lesson about Hanukkah out
there, but exposure is 90% of impact:-)
We sign off with a lovely quote from a Root Source student and an amazing photo that was taken at Jerusalem's old City.
Shalom,

Weekly Portion:
Miketz – December 8 – 30th of Kislev
|
In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Miketz Genesis 41:1 – 44:17, Joseph’s imprisonment finally ends when Pharaoh dreams of seven fat cows that are swallowed up by seven lean cows, and of seven fat ears of grain swallowed by seven lean ears. Joseph interprets the dreams to mean that seven years of plenty will be followed by seven years of hunger, and advises Pharaoh to store grain during the plentiful years. Pharaoh appoints Joseph governor of Egypt. Joseph
marries Asenath, daughter of Potiphar, and they have two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
In this week’s Haftara Prophets reading I Kings 3:15 – 4:1, opens with the words “And Solomon awoke, and behold it was a dream,” echoing this week’s Torah portion which opens with Pharaoh’s dreams.
Happy studying!

Christine Darg – 4 – Controversial Issues in Christian End-Times Prophecy
|
When it comes to End-Times prophecy and Israel, the most common questions to be asked are about things like the Gog/Magog war and when it might begin. However, I preferred to use my interview time with End-times prophecy expert, Christine Darg, to walk her through a list of some of the most controversial questions, on which many Christians are sharply divided! It should be no surprise that every one of them has to do with Israel!
In concluding Part 4 Christine Darg answers Bob’s questions about prophecy and the end-times including her view on the most controversial subjects including Third Temple, the Jewish Sanhedrin, the Jews as a Light to the Nations, and the Ten Men who grab onto the hem of a Jew.

But, one of my favorite places in the world is in Jordan, just across the Jordan River from Israel. It is a white mound or rock, near where the Jabbok river (now called the Zarqa River) runs down from the heartland of Jordan and meets the Jordan river. Can you guess what place I am thinking of?
