Dear ,
Sukkot—when we expose ourselves to the elements in
greenery-covered huts—commemorates God sheltering our ancestors as they traveled from Egypt to the Promised Land. The Four Kinds express our unity and our belief in God’s omnipresence. Coming after the solemn High Holidays, it is a time of joy and happiness
Today we reveal the discovery that you have been waiting for -- the Midrash of Our Forefather Paul. Join the exciting interview that explains
everything.
On Rosh Hashanah imagine you are praying in the ancient Abuhav Synagogue in Tzfat. Pick a ripe pomegranate off the table of the Machane Yehuda shuk in Jerusalem. Hike the Arbel mountain at sunset. Gaze at the Land from atop Har Gilboa. These are just a few of the scenes in this year’s calendar.
In 2016, two years after we
started Root Source, our founder Gidon Ariel put together a video that explains the Sukkot holiday, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles. We are revisiting that video again, two years later, in honor of Sukkot in 2018. Enjoy Gidon’s very nice way of explaining things! Gidon Ariel shows us his backyard Succah. See how it changed from 2014 to
2018.
We sign off with a lovely quote from a Root Source student and an amazing photo.
Shalom, Gidon Ariel and Bob O’Dell Root Source Founders
