I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all

In today's newsletter we announce that in addition to our released
videos, we are launching an exciting new column that will press against the boundaries of what God seems to be doing at the intersection of the Jewish world (in Israel) and the Christian world (in the Nations). We are also beginning a new Root Source Tours feature on the Hinnom Valley in Jerusalem.
This week, the weekly Torah reading Bechukotai, contains a vivid
description of the rewards for observing G‑d's commandments and the series of punishments that will befall us if we choose to disregard them. The Torah then discusses different types of gifts given to the Temple, and the animal tithe.
Root Source News published the transcript of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s expose on the Iranian Nuclear
program.
Root Source Tours introduces Jerusalem to you, not as the city of three key hills, but as the city of three key valleys.
We sign off with a lovely quote from a Root Source student and a beautiful photo of
the Temple Mount Aerial View.

Studio See – A New Column
at Root Source |
Gidon is allowing me to begin a new column to be published weekly in the Root Source
newsletter.
The goal is to bring to light a number of ideas and perspectives that push the boundaries of the current discussion about Israel, the relationship between Jews
and Christians, and the future that is coming. They will be short enough to read in less than five minutes each, and are designed to stir up discussion with your friends, or even in your own mind.
The name of the column is Studio See. The word Studio conveys the truth that many of these ideas are still in various stages of development. The word See derives from the goal of each is to show you something new that you may not have seen in your own understanding yet, or perhaps to raise a new perspective on an old topic.
Weekly Portion: Bechukotai – May 12 – 27th of Iyyar |
In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Bechukotai Leviticus 26:3 – 27:34, God promises that if the people of Israel will keep His commandments, they will enjoy material prosperity and dwell secure in their homeland. But He also delivers a harsh “rebuke,” warning of the exile, persecution and other evils that will
befall them if they abandon their covenant with Him.
In this week’s Haftara Prophets reading Jeremiah 16:19 – 17:14, discusses the punishments that await those who disregard God’s law, and the blessings that are the lot of those who follow the Creator’s wishes. This follows the theme of this week’s Torah reading which details at length the blessings and curses.
Happy Studying!
