hereDear , This week, the weekly Torah reading Vayakhel-Pekudei, Moses gathers the Jews and relays to them all the details regarding the construction of the Tabernacle, its vessels, and the priestly garments. The actual construction and assembly is also described. This portion repeats many of the details described in the portions of Terumah and Tetzaveh, wherein God instructed Moses regarding the assembly of all these objects. The Tabernacle is erected, and God's presence dwells
therein.

Weekly Portion: Vayakhel-Pekudei – March 10 – 23 Adar |
In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Vayakhel-Pekudei Exodus 35:1 – 40:38, Moses assembles the people of Israel and reiterates to them the commandment to observe the Shabbat. He then conveys God’s instructions regarding the making of the Mishkan (Tabernacle). The people
donate the required materials in abundance, bringing gold, silver and copper; blue-, purple- and red-dyed wool; goat hair, spun linen, animal skins, wood, olive oil, herbs and precious stones. Moses has to tell them to stop giving. In this week’s Haftara Prophets reading I Kings 7:51-8:21, describes the dedication of Solomon’s Temple, following the theme of this week’s Torah reading: the dedication of the desert
Tabernacle.
Happy studying!

The Argaman Surprise – by Bob O’Dell |
Two weeks ago we announced a new channel on Root Source called Biblical Archaeology with Aaron Lipkin. People are somewhat aware of the discoveries of archaeologist Adam Zertal, that Aaron has felt called by God to bring to the world in a very interesting way. Aaron is a great speaker and
educator and one of his favorite places in the world is what is called the Argaman Footprint.
We have multiple videos about the footprint on his new channel. But, as amazing as the footprint is, that is not what this article is about!
