This week's portion will provide a description of the various sacrifices – Ewe Lamb, Turtle Doves, and Fine Flour (sound familiar?:-) – offered by the priests in this newly constructed Sanctuary.

Weekly Portion: Vayikra – March 17 – 1 Nisan |
In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Vayikra Leviticus 1:1 – 5:26, God calls to Moses from the Tent of Meeting, and communicates to him the laws of the korbanot, the animal and meal offerings brought in the Sanctuary.
In this week’s Haftara Prophets reading Isaiah 43:21 – 44:23, starts with a rebuke to the Israelites for abandoning the Temple’s sacrificial service. Sacrifices are the dominant topic of the week’s Torah reading, too.

Gidon Ariel on Netanyahu and efforts to make him fall |
In an article he was interviewed for, Gidon clarifies his position that Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu will not resign or be toppled because the the political hullabaloo making that attempt. In Israel, the Prime Minister is the leader
of the largest party in the multi-party house of government, the Knesset. Israel has numerous parties, as opposed to the two party system of the United States, for example. This requires a coalition of parties to join and govern, and any party that is left out of the coalition is in the opposition.
