Dear ,

This week, the weekly Torah reading Vayakhel-Pekudei describes the manufacture of the vestments of the priests and high priests which were already described in the portion of Tetzaveh, where God instructs Moses how these garments are to be assembled. The Tabernacle is erected, and God's presence dwells therein.

Root Source Interviews continues to profile author and writer Eliyahu Berkowitz who now tells his personal story of deciding to run away from his own Jewish identity, and what brought him back from destruction.

We are happy to share a story written by our very own Root Source teacher Dr. Rivka Adler about "The Aliyah Return Center." Read the story below.

Root Source Tours takes you to the mountain palace and ultimately the burial place of Herod the Great.

We sign off with a lovely quote from a Root Source student and a beautiful picture of Using Available Space in Jerusalem.

Weekly Portion:
Vayakhel-Pekudei – March 25 – 27 Adar

In this Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Vayakhel-Pekudei Exodus 35:1–40:38, Moses assembles the people of Israel and reiterates to them the commandment to observe the Shabbat. He then conveys God’s instructions regarding the making of the Mishkan (Tabernacle). The people donate the required materials in abundance, bringing gold, silver and copper; blue-, purple- and red-dyed wool; goat hair, spun linen, animal skins, wood, olive oil, herbs and precious stones. Moses has to tell them to stop giving.

This week's Haftara Prophets reading I Kings 7:51 – 8:21 describes the dedication of Solomon’s Temple, following the theme of this week’s Torah reading: the dedication of the desert Tabernacle.

Happy studying!

THE ALIYAH RETURN CENTER

We are happy to share a story written by our very own Root Source teacher Dr. Rivka Adler about "The Aliyah Return Center."

Dean Bye, a 58-year-old entrepreneur and Christian Zionist with Return Ministries of Canada, works every day to fulfill his understanding of prophecies, including those in the Book of Isaiah, that suggest that at the end of days, the nations will assist the Jewish people to return home to Israel.

Root Source Tours:
Herodium – Part 1 – Going Up, Looking Down

He spared no expense in this monument, building himself a palace at the foot of the mountain as well as on the top. Part 1 of several.

Why is Israel at the
Center of World Conflict?

Why is Israel always embroiled in world conflict? Why is Jerusalem the focus of so much angst? Why is the Temple Mount at the center of rage?

"Thank you very much! I appreciate every minute of watching it!"

Our student Esther enjoyed our blog post and had this to say.

Esther wrote:
Hi, Gidon and Bob! it's Esther here again. I think I've talked to you once before. Thank you so much for these wonderful movies that you're putting up. All the various places that you're going in the land of Israel. I've only managed to visit there once, I would love to come back! It's just great to be able to look at this things, the drone footage and your phone footage it just makes me feel like it's the next big thing to being able to visit. I know when I do eventually come back, I would book a tour with Mr. Lipkin Jr. It's just wonderful. Thank you very much! I appreciate every minute of watching it!
