Read the full report below!

We return to the weekly Torah reading. This week about Joseph and his brothers.

Bob continues his virtual tour of Israel, and begins a series about the City of David.

We revisit Israel FIRST! and some of the predictions we made in the book. How are we doing?

Finally, we bring an article in Breaking Israel News about Christians studying Hebrew.

We sign off with our lovely quote from a whole bunch of donors to our Campus Campaign and a beautiful picture of a the Golden Gate of the old city of Jerusalem.

The Campus Campaign Was a Resounding Success!

WE DID IT!

Together with hundreds of donors and generous matching donors, in one month we raised more than TWO HUNDRED THOUSANDS DOLLARS! For our ambitious Campus and Millennials Campaign.

We finished Stage 1. With YOUR help, we have funded this project!

This month, we will work on completing our list of liaisons to college and university campuses across America, and if all goes well, with God’s help, we will begin distributing the books in February or March.

Weekly Portion:
Vayigash – January 7 – 9 Tevet

This Shabbat’s weekly Torah portion Vayigash, Genesis 44:18 – 47:27, concludes the story of Joseph and his brothers, with Joseph unable to contain himself and revealing himself to them after his brother Judah offers to be imprisoned instead of Benjamin.

This gripping story has captured the imagination of people for thousands of years, and every year when it is repeated in the synagogue it is fascinating once more!

The Haftara Prophets reading, Ezekiel 37:15 – 37:28, relates the prophecy when once more Judah and Ephraim (Joseph’s son) will be reunited, as two sticks brought together as one.

Happy studying!

Root Source Prediction Update:
Did God Press the Pause Button?

We made a promise in our book Israel FIRST! to continually watch to see what God is doing, and report back to you about our predictions.

It continues to amaze us how many of you told us that was refreshing to hear!

Probably our most important prediction in the whole book was that the Blood Moons were a sign of God’s eternal covenant to bring the Jews back to Israel, and not a sign that the end of the age and the Gog/Magog war against Israel.

This particular prediction continues to strengthen with each passing day.

But the surprising Brexit vote in the UK, and Trump win in the United States requires us to step back and take an honest look at the four seven-year cycles prediction in the chapter we wrote about Leviticus 26 called: God’s Seven Year Forecast.

That is the subject of this update.

Hebrew Opens New World of Deep Bible Study for Christians and Jews

Bob was interviewed by Breaking Israel News about a topic near and dear to our hearts: the Hebrew language.

Christians and members of the Hebrew Roots movement are united in their view that learning Hebrew is an important part of understanding the Judaic origins of their faith.

Speaking to Breaking Israel News, Bob O’Dell, pro-Israel Christian, author and co-founder of Root Source, described his interest in Hebrew as two-fold.

As a frequent traveler to Israel, O’Dell recognizes that learning modern, conversational Hebrew could help him “to fit in a bit better when visiting Israel.”

However, his primary interest is “to understand the Bible better. What motivates me here is the absolute conviction that I am not ‘seeing’ but a small fraction of the potential insights in the various passages by reading an English translation.”

Expanding on this idea, O’Dell expressed his belief that Christians can benefit from learning Hebrew because it will give them “the ability to look at the Biblical text without being fully dependent on previous translators.”
