,
We continue with our new tradition of providing a link to the weekly Torah and Prophets readings.
We also provide a video lesson about the Jewish aspects of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Bob had another
op ed article published in the popular World Net Daily website. Read it here!
A few months ago, Bob and Gidon were guests at the Moskowitz Prize event in Jerusalem. Watch the video and feel like you were there too!
Finally, Gidon was interviewed about his life
and Jewish - Christian relations. Listen to the radio broadcast!
And we finish up as usual with a beautiful comment from one of our students and a beautiful picture from the Land of Israel.
Shalom,
Gidon Ariel and Bob O’Dell Root Source Founders

Weekly Portion: Ha'azinu - October 15 - 13 Tishrei |
This week we read Ha'azinu (Listen!), Deuteronomy 32:1 - 32:52. As introduced in last week's reading, Moses concludes his messages from God to the Israelites just before they enter the Land. As God warns over and over, the People will forget about their
covenant with God and ultimately be exiled. But God will bring them back!
In parallel with this, one of the most famous formatted poems in the Torah, the week's Prophets reading is from Samuel 22: 1-51, The Song of David.
Gidon produced an educational video lesson about the holiday of Sukkot.
In this lesson, Gidon Ariel, director of Root Source, talks about the biblical holy day of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, and how it is
observed in Israel today.
Jewish Calendar Guides National Prayer |
Bob had an op ed article published in WND.com!
This article shows how the Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot are aligned with the culmination of
intensive prayer for Revival and Awakening in the United States.
Moskowitz 2016 Prize of Zionism |
Root Source captures the feeling of what it would be like to attend an authentic Zionism celebration in Israel.
This was the Moskowitz Prize of Zionism awards held just before Shavuot on June 6, 2016.

Paul Bernard interviews Gidon Ariel |
Gidon Ariel, co-founder of Root Source, has been living in Israel for nearly forty years, and has met hundreds of interesting people, politicians and media personalities included.
A good friend is Paul Bernard, originally from Great Britain, who broadcasts from Jerusalem and Bethlehem about Israel and Palestinians.
Paul interviewed Gidon a few years back about his life.
Gidon talks numerous interesting topics, including: - His own personal story, growing up in New York and moving as a child to Israel
- How hard is it to make Aliyah (move to
Israel)?
- Is Israel really "home"?
- Is Israel safe?
- How did he come to be active in Jewish-Christian relations?
- How should Christians interact with Jews?

Thank you to our new student Tamarine who wrote us such a lovely email!
Root Source is such a polished and well developed source for
Christians to learn from Jews, in Israel no less, that it IS amazing you all have only been doing this for two years! I did not realize it was so new last year when I first saw the presentation. G-d is obviously with you and your whole staff and I am thoroughly blessed by what Root Source brings me. Thanks! CONGRATULATIONS!
