,
We are very excited to announce a new live webinar with Rabbi Ken Spiro! Details below.
We also published another article about Jubilee in Breaking Israel News - read all about it!
Gidon answers
another Ask the Rabbi question, this time about the very words Israel, Hebrew and Jew.
Here is part 2 from Bob's fascinating if controversial interview with Doug Hamp!
And we finish up as usual with a beautiful comment from one of our students - this time a review of
Jubilee NOW! on Amazon - and a beautiful picture from the Land of Israel.
Shalom,
Gidon Ariel and Bob O’Dell Root Source Founders

Save the Date: Webinar with Ken Spiro! |
We have already featured two of our popular teachers on a live webinar, and now we are excited to announce that Rabbi Ken Spiro will be teaching a live webinar himself on Sunday, August 28 at 10 PM Israel time, which is 3 PM East
Coast USA and 12 noon Pacific time.
Ask the Rabbi: Israelite, Hebrew, and Jew |
Chris asked:
I’d like to better understand that evolution of the words Israelite, Hebrew, and Jew. My grandmother and I have spoken about our lack of understanding in the Old Testament how these names came about. Jacob and Israel is
obvious, but where/when did the name Hebrew come about and/or why? Same with the name/title Jew? It just seemed to us that there was a hard transition from one name to another and no real understanding of where or why the Jewish people were called by the various names.
Thanks for asking Chris!
Jubilee 25: Favorable Year |
Once again, Breaking Israel News is host to another innovative op ed by Bob and Gidon!
Earlier in this series, we examined the Ninth of Av (observed this year on Sunday, August 14, 2016), the
quintessential day of tragedy for the Jewish people, and invited Christians to join Jews in prayer on this day.
Today we examine a very positive topic: Is Jubilee in general, and this perhaps year in particular the Year of the Lord’s Favor?
An Interview with Doug Hamp |
Did Jesus speak Aramaic or Hebrew as his language of teaching and interacting with other Jews?
In Part 2 of this interview, Author Doug Hamp finishes making a compelling case from the Bible
that Jesus taught and spoke Hebrew. Doug and Bob then turn their attention to the question of motivation.
Why have so many researchers been so quick to dismiss Hebrew and insist on Aramaic? What is REALLY going on here? Listen to this fascinating interview>> People are loving Jubilee NOW!

Exciting book addressed to Christians and Jews on the Jubilee
August 1, 2016
The two authors of Israel First and fascinating read have now written a second book on the mystery of the Jubilee. This will be an amazing read that attempts to solve the ancient question of the Jubilee and it's meaning for us and our world. I highly recommend adding this book to your list... Jubilee Now is going to prove to be a very important
find.
