Dear
Root Source Students,
Welcome to our new subscribers!
This week, we focus on three "righteous of the nations," Pro-Israel Christians like yourself.
Bob O'Dell, founding partner of Root Source, is featured in an article in the popular site WND.
We also
offer a free peek into his Bonus Channel on Root Source, with a surprising title!
And we introduce you to Merv and Merla Watson, who have been pioneers in the Christian Zionist movement here in Israel for over 40 years. You may have not met or heard of Merv and Merla, but you know about their work -- you just don't realize it!
Please share this email with your
friends who you think would appreciate getting it!
Shalom,

Bob O'Dell Channel Sample: We All Play
Golf |
Besides the core channels and lessons of Root Source, with Israeli Jewish teachers sharing the ancient Jewish wisdom they love with Christian students who are thirsty for that very wisdom, we are also glad to offer teachings by our Christian co-founder, Bob O’Dell.
Bob continues to provide essential advice and services that keep Root Source growing and thriving, and is an indispensable partner to Gidon Ariel in the work they do in building bridges between Jews and Christians.
Members of Root Source get the channels that they select, and in addition get three Bonus Channels, including two that Bob recorded, Blood Moons and More and the Jubilee Channel.
Please enjoy this sample
lesson of this exclusive channel, ordinarily only available to members of Root Source!
Bob's message in this lesson is that we need to be released from ever feeling that we need to become someone else to fully please God.
Merv and Merla Watson: The Story of the Feast of Tabernacles |
We are publishing a four-part series on Merv and Merla Watson, pioneers of the Christian Zionist movement who have lived in Israel for more than 40 years.
They have recently come up with a brand new celebration idea and Root Source will be breaking news on this.
But before we tell you about their new idea, you need to know first what God led them to do in the past: none other than to establish the largest Christian celebration of any feast in Israel: The Feast of Tabernacles.
In Part One, Root Source interviews them to learn how this feast celebration first came about. As I sat at the gate in Newark waiting for my Tel Aviv flight to board, I saw a nicely dressed man in his late 20s seated near me wearing a clerical collar and thumbing through a brand new Israel guidebook.“First time in Israel?” I asked. “Yes,” he said smiling, pleased that I had taken interest. “And is it your first time, too?” “Oh, no,” I laughed. “In fact, I just recently went back and counted all my passport stamps to Israel, and this happens to be my 40th visit! But I am happy for you, because there is
nothing quite like visiting Israel for the first time. You will love it!” Here is another lovely comment by TJ, her reflections on the We All Play Golf bonus channel lesson we featured above: Hi Bob, I swear you were talking to me in this lesson! I especially loved what you wrote, "that God is still completely capable of getting us into perfect position to do His perfect work."
Many things have happened, in my life, some great, some bad, but all of them have gotten me (and God knows the beginning, the middle and the end of everything) to where I am today.
If my life had been different, I wouldn't be who I am today. I wouldn't have met the people I've met or done the things I've done.
Although if I'd have been given the chance beforehand to go
through a hard time or not, I'm sure I'd have said, "not", but in hindsight, I wouldn't change one situation.
Maybe I'd change my response to be more gracious or more kind, but I'd have not changed the situation, because I wouldn't be where I am today or have the people in my
life who I have today. I wouldn't be able to say, "I know what you're going through, because I've been there and I've come out the other side." I wouldn't have the same compassion for someone who is in the same situation I was in. I wouldn't have the same words of "tough love" for them, because I know all the excuses, because I've given them, etc.
Ok, I'm rambling a bit, but I thank God that He knows the moments of my life and where He is taking me and what an adventure it is! Thanks for making me think on these things again. Shalom! - TJ
