Read this amazing story from Tom and Patricia Moore. Living in Northern Ireland, they were close enough to the eclipse path to be able to see a partially eclipsed sun. However, the sky was totally overcast, as it was for much of Great Britain. So they went into their prayer room to pray the Isaiah 11:9 prayer at 10:18 AM for two minutes. As they finished the prayer,
suddenly a brilliant light came streaming down upon their prayer room, and something inside them leaped for joy as they felt that the entire room had been filled with the glory and presence of God! They rushed outside to find a hole had opened up in the clouds just big enough for the eclipsed sun to be shining down on their house! They then ran for both sunglasses and a camera to take an unexpected photograph.After the event was over, the Lord reminded Patricia that God will put the sun and the moon to shame because of his awesome brilliant light that will light up the whole world, and they thought about the passage in 1 Chronicles 12:32 about the Sons of Issachar and the importance of knowing the times in which we live. This fantastic video gives the best idea of what it would have looked like to see the North Pole Eclipse. Svalbard is the farthest north of any land that could see the eclipse. See how low the sun is in the sky? At the North Pole the Sun would have been visible just above the horizon. |
