Rabbi Eliahu Dermer was born in 1930 in Romania, and today lives in Geula/Meah Shearim in Jerusalem. Between his birth and today, he lived a fascinating life which includes surviving the Holocaust, making Aliyah to the Land of Israel, and befriending Christian supporters of Israel.
Â
In 2009, he wrote his autobiography in Hebrew.
Â
Earlier this year, Root Source CEO Gidon
Ariel and his good friend Sharon Sanders of Christian Friends of Israel visited Rabbi Dermer in his small apartment in Jerusalem. After a few questions, the rabbi sighed, and said "all of my stories are here in this book."
Â
But that memoir is unavailable for English speakers.
Â
With your help, Root Source will translate, edit, and publish Rabbi Dermer's autobiography, for all the world to know.
Â
Join our campaign today! As a supporter, your name will be listed in the book, and we aim to present Rabbi Dermer with an English edition of his memoir on his 95th birthday this year.
Â
Let’s ensure his story reaches beyond borders.
