This coming Shabbat's Torah portion, read on Saturday, October 5th, is Parashat Ha’azinu. This week’s reading, Ha’azinu, consists of a poetic song delivered by Moses and Joshua. The song is a prophecy of what will transpire to the Jews – the good and the bad – until the end of times.

What are the signs the Jews will look for to know that the Messiah is coming?

Rabbi Aryeh Leifert comments on Proverbs 3:17-18.  
1) If acquiring wisdom is not making you into a better person, something is very wrong. What then is the purpose of becoming wise? 
2) Wisdom can be a vehicle through which we can get back to the Garden of Eden, and pluck a fruit off the Tree of Life.

Gidon and Jason had a casual conversation about the current situation in Israel and the frequent lack of moral distinction in society. They also discussed their shared interest in Kabbalistic works, particularly those of Avraham Abulafia, and the potential for unity among different religious groups. Additionally, they discussed the importance of individuality and the need to move away from collective thinking, and shared their experiences with various faiths and their involvement in the Jewish community.

The symposium will be held live on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 10-12 Central time, 6-8 PM Israel time.
