In this week’s portion, Vayakhel, Moses gathers the Jews and relays to them all the details regarding the construction of the Tabernacle and its vessels. The actual construction is also described. This portion repeats many of the details described in the portion of Terumah, wherein G‑d instructed Moses how the Tabernacle and its vessels were to be constructed.

Purim and Mishloach Manot

One of the most important parts of Purim is sending gifts of food ("Mishloach Manot") to others, as mentioned in Esther 9:22 which enjoins the Jewish people to observe the days of Purim "as days of feasting and gladness, and sending portions of food to one another, and gifts to the poor." (Reference: Wiki)
 

Today, with the Hamas war raging in the south and the Hizbollah war brewing in the north, many Israelis are in relatively dire straits, and would be encouraged to receive such gifts.

And getting such a gift from a pro-Israel Christian who loves them would double the delight!

Recently, Goel Jasper visited Gidon at his beautiful home in the Hills of Hevron, where they discussed Gidon’s childhood. Goel was surprised to learn that Gidon made Aliyah at the age of 14, all on his own! It was an enlightening conversation, with Gidon sharing his thoughts on the significance of living in the land and embracing a mentality of redemption.
